Realising sustainable ambitions together
With solar energy as a binding factor
From sustainable policy to reality
Sustainability is high on the agenda of every municipality in the Netherlands. Understandable if you look at the European climate goals. The energy transition requires decisive local policy. And to take action.
Tomorrow Energy helps municipalities with this. We ensure that the step from policy to reality is made as smoothly as possible. How? By developing solar energy projects where everyone wins.
Working together shoulder to shoulder
With Tomorrow Energy, you as a municipality have an experienced party at your side. We understand what is needed to translate policy plans into action. The first contact usually occurs on our initiative. We then act on behalf of a landowner with plans for a solar park. But once we are in conversation, we work together shoulder to shoulder.
We believe in constructive cooperation on sustainability within the municipal boundaries. And in creating a win-win situation for all parties involved.

Why a solar park in your municipality?
Sometimes we hear doubts about whether valuable (agricultural) land should be used to house a solar park for 25 years. The truth is that without solar parks, the climate goals and the goals of the Regional Energy Strategy are simply not feasible. We won't get there with just solar panels on roofs.
Fortunately, the truth is also that with careful integration into the landscape and a broadly supported participation plan, a solar park can be an asset to any municipality.
Participation, biodiversity and landscape integration
Walk-in evenings
For us, it is essential that a solar park has sufficient support. That is why we involve local residents and other stakeholders in the development from the start of a project. For example, we organize walk-in evenings, where we take people along in our story. We start a conversation and see how we can take everyone into account as much as possible.
Landscape integration
We always pay a lot of attention to the natural integration of our solar parks into the landscape. To hide solar panels from view, for example, we choose to plant a wide, green border. People can also think about this. Together with our landscape architects, we arrive at a suitable design.
Biodiversity
Stimulating biodiversity can also be part of the plan. By leaving space between the solar panels, plants and herbs get enough sunlight and water to grow and flourish.
Financial participation
In addition, we offer various options to participate financially in the project. Such as becoming a co-owner through a local energy cooperative. People can also invest in the solar park by buying bonds with an attractive interest rate.
Furthermore, local residents can expect a nice offer to purchase the locally generated green energy at an attractive rate through one of our energy partners.
Everything comes together in the master plan
Ultimately, our approach leads to an all-encompassing master plan, in which all interests and possibilities are included. So it is not just about the solar park.
The plan also provides solutions for private and commercial roofs. Through collective purchasing, consumers can purchase solar panels for their own homes through us at lower prices. We offer companies the opportunity to investigate without obligation whether their roof is suitable for making it more sustainable with solar panels.
We also take other solar energy opportunities into account. Such as local energy storage in batteries and charging stations that supply 100% green energy, generated by the local solar park.
In short, we are serious about sustainability. Sitting back is not an option if we want to achieve our climate goals.
